Industrial Electrician

          Cutco Cutlery Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cutco Corporation, has an immediate opening for an Industrial Electrician.  This position is part of the United Steelworkers Local 5429 and is on second or third shift. 

          Candidates for this position must have successfully completed a formal electrician training program.  A two year AOS degree in Electrical Maintenance is preferred.  Industrial electrical experience is not necessary but is preferred.

          The principal duties will include general wiring, equipment installation, trouble shooting and repair of 480 volt 3 phase control systems; preventive maintenance of electro-pneumatic, electrohydraulic, programmable logic and CNC systems; and manufacture of new motor and circuit control systems.

          Key attributes include work habits that produce efficient and quality results, through safety practices, attendance, and attitude.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to work and communicate effectively with fellow company employees.

          Due to the nature of maintenance tasks and responsibilities, all incoming electrical maintenance employees prior to being accepted are required to:

• Receive certification in respirator use and successfully pass a fit test.
• Pass a medical exam in accordance with the respirator certification and physical capabilities required to perform this job.
• Pass a physical agility test.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
