Sparkling Sunrise Mocktail

This Sparkling Sunrise Mocktail is one of those easy, feel-good recipes that has quickly become one of my favorites. My sister and I don’t drink alcohol so we keep it light and fruity with no alcohol but, if you’re looking for something with a little more kick, this recipe can turn into a cocktail with a splash of vodka.

It’s bright, refreshing and just fancy enough to make you feel like you’re celebrating something, even if it’s just spending time together.

Making the Mocktail

The small details make this drink pop, so let’s start by getting your ingredients prepped.

First use the 4″ Paring Knife to quarter one of the strawberries and slice the other into thin rounds for garnish.

Sliced strawberriesUse the Traditional Cheese Knife to cut your lime in half. Juice one half and then slice the other half into wedges.

Traditional Cheese Knife with lime wedgesIn a cocktail shaker or even a sturdy glass, if that’s all you have, add the strawberry preserves, mint leaves, quartered strawberry pieces and lime juice. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to mash everything together until the mint releases its oils and the strawberry pieces soften into the preserves.

Pour in the blood orange juice, secure the lid and shake it up well until everything is beautifully mixed. If you can’t find blood orange, pomegranate juice is a great substitution.

Shaking shaker.

Fill a glass with ice and pour the drink about three-quarters of the way full. Top it off with sparkling lime soda for that refreshing fizz that makes this drink so much fun. Garnish with a slice of strawberry, a lime wedge and a few mint leaves.

Whether you’re hosting brunch, winding down after work or just catching up with someone you love, give this Sparkling Sunrise Mocktail recipe a try. It’s my favorite mocktail, packed with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The best part is you can easily play around with it to suit your own taste. Cheers!
