Chocolate is a staple in my life any time of the year, but it especially satisfies in the late winter months.

If you didn’t already know, Mardi Gras actually means Fat Tuesday in French. From what I know about the history and meaning of this day, it is quite fascinating, although one thing I know for sure is that it’s a day made for feasting on all the good things in life like bread, meats and, of course, desserts.
Looking through the Cutco Kitchen blog, three decadent desserts struck me that I thought you might enjoy for this special occasion that involves lots of eating.
These lava cakes are the perfect size. They’re also quite easy to make. You bake them at 400 F for 12 minutes. Top the cake off with whipped cream, confectioners’ sugar or fresh berries. Better yet, grab your Cutco Ice Cream Scoop and serve with a big scoop of ice cream. Warning: you may have a hard time not eating all of them – they’re addicting!
You should know that these will turn out delicious just by the words “triple chocolate” in the name. These pair well with a hot cup of coffee, a glass of red wine or a big glass of cold milk. Using your Spatula Spreader, top the cake with fluffy chocolate frosting and a chocolate dipped strawberry. I promise you’ll get your chocolate fix.
For me, anything made with peanut butter is a good thing. Plus, at least this recipe has some fruit in it. To make this recipe, it’s really all a matter of mixing a list of ingredients up and baking it in a loaf pan for 55 minutes. You’ll get your chocolate and peanut butter fix. Win-win.
