Serving Size: makes approximately 1 dozen biscuits
4 cups all purpose flour 2 tablespoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons sugar, or more to taste 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut up 2 cups heavy cream
1. Preheat oven to 400°.
2. In a medium mixing bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is coarse and crumb-like. Add heavy cream. Stir until just blended. (Dough will be sticky.)
3. Place dough on lightly floured work surface and pat dough to 1" thickness. Using a 2 1/2" cookie cutter or biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits. Place on baking sheet allowing 1" between each biscuit. Bake approximately 20 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool.
