OLEAN, N.Y., Oct. 2, 2009 – The American Heart Association is closer to reducing the risk of heart disease in women thanks to CUTCO Cutlery Corp. and its Vector Marketing sales force.
CUTCO, a corporate supporter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement and the largest cutlery manufacturer in the United States, exceeded its $100,000 fund-raising goal for Go Red For Women five months ahead of schedule. Through its sponsorship, CUTCO has raised $150,000 for the cause and will continue their drive through the end of February 2010. A special presentation celebrating the milestone took place during CUTCO Cutlery and Vector’s premier Strategic Leadership Conference in Dallas on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Vector Marketing is the exclusive marketer of CUTCO Cutlery in North America.
“I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve far surpassed our $100,000 goal and have moved right along to $150,000 for Go Red For Women,” said CUTCO Corp. Chairman and CEO Jim Stitt. “We could not have done this without a Vector sales force passionate about our commitment to Go Red, and customers who are equally passionate about the cause and our unique product offerings.”
Vector Marketing’s sales efforts won’t stay at $150,000. The Vector sales force plans to sell as much of the exclusive CUTCO products as possible before the early 2010 deadline, Mr. Stitt said.
Most of the money raised so far was done through the sales of CUTCO’s exclusive red Table Knives and Super Shears, which are two of the brand’s most popular products. Ten percent of the purchase price of each pair of Super Shears and four-piece red Table Knife Sets sold is donated directly to the cause.

CUTCO is a corporate supporter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement. Between March 1, 2009, and March 1, 2010, CUTCO will donate a minimum of $100,000 to Go Red For Women. CUTCO will donate $75,000 to the cause, plus make an additional contribution of 10 percent of the sales of 4-Pc. Red Table Knife Sets and Red Super Shears.
