The Trimmer

The Trimmer

Tell us why:

I absolutely love the trimmer knife. I use it every day weather it is cutting meat or vegetables or fruit. It is just the right size and cuts beautifully. It cuts thru the toughest meat or the most delicate vegetable or fruit. I've used it to cut semi-frozen chicken to delicate raspberries, and it always works great. I love all the Cutco knives, but the trimmer is my favorite!

Petite Chef

Petite Chef

Tell us why:

I love my "little" chef knife. I have smaller hands and find most of not all other knives to big to hold. The Cutco Petite Chef knife is perfect in every way for me. It works even better than the trendy Santoku knives. I love it so much that my husband had to get me second one for when I send the first one in for sharpening. It is my go-to knife for every meal in my home.

I use my trimmer every day. I purchased one for our motor home and an extra one for my kitchen. I use the extra when mine is being sharpened. It is my favorite knife.

The larger paring knife

Tell us why:

I think this knife, with its contoured handle is the greatest. I cut so many vegetables and fruits with it. I have had it for 20 years, and wouldn't cook without it. The handle seems to be made of wood and fits so nice in my hand. The knife has gone through many dishwasher cycles and never seems to need sharpening. The greatest.

I purchased them in 1972. They are used every day. We are now down to 4 as I suspect 2 were inadvertantly thrown out during a big family gathering. Since then we fight over who gets to use them. I will be looking for my replacements under the tree this year.

I love using the Cutco "Spatula Spreader" it's my favorite! Specifically, I use it everytime I cut a watermelon. It's curved shape allows me to cut into and around the watermelon with no problem. Once I've cut the watermelon in half, then into quarters, I am able to carve out small bite size squares with no problem!

My grandmother, who is 94 has Cutco knives. She gave my parents Cutco knives when they married 54 years ago. My mother still have those knives. When my sister and I got married we were given Cutco knives for our weddings. I have had mine for 20 years and have added to the set my Grandmother gave me. Several years ago I met a wonderful Cutco sales person at our Home Fair in our County. She came to my home sharpened my knives and assisted me in sending the few that needed new blades to the Company. My favorite knife is the Hardy slicer. I also love my potato peeler, its the best ever and I have purchased several as gifts. My sister recently found a representative in Texas and is having her knives sharpened. Cutco is a lifetime investment and the best knives I have ever used. The steak knives are awesome also! I can't say enough about my Cutco knives.

Bc i use it constantly to spread peanut butter and jelly on my grandchildrens sandwhiches. Plus it works great for scrapping the sides of a mayonaise jar or scrapping the sides of a cake pan difficult to release from the baking pan. i can even cut jello and serve when using it. Great for pies and easy as a server to the plate. Works really well when making krispy treats as a mixer of the sticky marshmellows with the rice krispies, one can easily scrape the sides and get all the mixture evenly distributed. So many uses i could write a book...cynthia

First off: Love my knives, I bought them from a college student almost 15 years ago. At the time it seemed expensive, but in the intervening years I have never regretted having those knives. Let's face it, if you buy quality, you do not regret it!! Also got a few compliments from other people when they see them. So far, we lost one steak knife someone took it to lunch! But the other knives are almost as new! Got the steak knife replaced Could not live without my chef's knife, but ALL of them run a close second!!!!!! Really can't be without any of them! Your quality and attention to detail is unmatched!

Well, its been a story of cooking. Since I started using the cutco knives I've been cooking more. I've found that the preparation of the meal is so important & the easier the prep the better the meal goes. A sharp knife makes a huge difference in the kitchen. I sold Cutco knives about 17-18 years ago for a part time job in the summer & have been hooked ever since. A quality set of knives in the kitchen & on the dinner table makes everyone happy. Thankyou Cutco for excellence.

Tell us why:

I can't stress enough how important my trimmer is to me! In fact, I got to thinking "What would I do if I lost it?" - so I bought a SECOND one!! I purchased the first one as part of the whole set back in 1963 -- and it is still as good as new! That was 46 years ago. Not only is the trimmer as good as new, but all the other knives and utensils slotted spoon, spatula, etc. are, too! Both my husband and I agree that you have a wonderful product.

I had searched for this particular knife for years and knew that I had found it when we got our first set of Cutco knives. I love this knife and use it every day. It is not serrated, it is long enough to cut the whole length of a potato, cucumber, carrot, or piece of meat. I love all of our Cutco products, but the trimmer is my favorite.

Chef Knife

Chef Knife

Tell us why:

Several years ago I was introduced to CUTCO knives at a friend's house by a college student selling CUTCO products. He convinced me to try a chef's knife and said that I would love it. Five years later, I do and he was right! I use my knife EVERY day and I love it. I have several others but first choice is always my CUTCO chefs knife for chopping and slicing. Everyone in my family knows that NO ONE else is allowed to touch it and they don't! "My knife" is MY knife.

The paring knife

Tell us why:

I originally purchased my first set of knives in 1994 which was a starter set. I've used these knives consistently for years. I use my paring knife daily because it is easy to cut up garlic, onions, and bell peppers. I broke the tip of it and Cutco replace it without any hassle and great explanation. I have since that time continued to purchase more knives in an effort to complete my set. I am extemely pleased with this product.

Good for cutting tomatoes best of all. My husband Harold and I use it especially when we can tomatoes. Very quick to cut the skin and makes canning go along very smoothly. We also like it for cutting into a chicken breast slicing for sandwiches. Cuts the chicken very thinly, the way I like it. Very good for cutting summer beef stick for snacks and sandwiches as well. The one I reach for a lot. Excellent knife. Nadine Ahlsen

I have used the trimmer or its bigger cousin virtually every day for over 15 years, and can hardly stand to fix food in any kitchen without one, like at church camp or my kids' houses. This is my second Spatula Spreader in about 20 years. For some reason, my first one got lost in a move. I absolutely cannot live without it. Santoku

Santoku

Tell us why:

This knife is amazing! The handle is so comfortable to hold that I can slice or chop veggies all day effortlessly. Paper-thin slices of lemons, limes, and oranges make elegant garnishes and they are thinner than I get with my mandoline. The same is true of tomatoes. For sushi, this is the knife to have--those paper-thin slices of fresh, raw fish are beautiful, and the my santoku comes through just as well on raw meats. Try broiling orange slices wrapped in see-through chicken filets lightly dusted with paprika for an eye-popping, yummy appetizer. I never put the knife in the dishwasher because I'll need it before the wash cycle is over. The Santoku and I are joined at the culinary hip!

The Ice Cream Scooper

As someone who loves to have the right equipment for the right job this knife is sturdy, fashioned in a comfortable style to hold and a very sharp reliable tool in the kitchen. Tell us why:

First, let me tell you that I started collecting CUTCO products when I was 19 years old and in college. I am now 56 years old and the quality and service continues to be CUTCO's first priority. I have my original pieces and over the years have sent them back for refurbishing and sharpening for FREE! They also come out with new products now and then, such as the bird's beak paring knife, that I just could not live without for all my summer pealing of fruits and veggies. I was so hooked after I purchased it that I bought three more to give as gifts. My other all time favorite summer tool is the Ratchet Pruner. It gets a hefty work out and I have purchased extras for gifts too. Where can you buy a gift for someone that they can have forever, use forever and get a life time guarantee with a company that has been around "forever". Thanks CUTCO!!!!!

French Chef Knife

French Chef Knife

Tell us why:

It's light enough to not tire me and heavy enough to do most of the work. I use it for nearly everything, slicing, removing fat from meat, delicate work on oranges, slicing several rows of mushrooms as a time. It doesn't push away foods as some other knives have. This knife and I never have a fight so I never have to get mad at it - I'm sure it's quite relieved. I've tried the smaller one and prefer the bigger one. Just can't imagine using anything else. In spite of the fact that I tend to "anchor" the tip into the cutting board, the tip retains its sharp edge. I mean, really, why WOULD you want anything else?

Slicer

Slicer

Tell us why:

Although I love all my Cutco knives, the slicer has been my favorite for the 15+ years that I have owned my set. It is the best bread slicer that I have ever found. It stays sharp and is big enough to cut through a large loaf of bread. It also cuts through watermelon, hams, and cantelopes nicely because of the size of the blade. It is easy to handle and to control the thickness of the slices. I give the special people in my life gifts of Cutco.

During the winter I make a lot of roasts, soups, and stews with root type veggies, and during the summer I make a lot of salads fruit and vegetable types. It makes the job go faster and easier and I like how it feels in my hand. I've had it for five years now and it's just as good as when I first purchased it. Thanks Cutco.

Tell us why:

I bought a set of Cutco knives in 1968...the set cost me $99! My father, who is a gourmet cook, thought I was crazy, and said a lifetime guarantee is only as good as the company is in business. But about 20 years later, he was visiting and used my knives, and loved them.....to which I said they were my "$99 knives" and they were as sharp as the day I bought them. I love my Cutco knives, but it's the sissors I use every day for one reason or another. Once my dog got a can stuck on her snout (trying to clean it out after stealing it from the trash). The only thing to do was cut it off as it was hooked on her teeth. The sissors did the job, and the dog was fine. I had a need to replace a knife after about 30 years because the tip broke and it was replaced with no questions asked. How many companies are around for a long time and stand by their guarantee? I am a firm believer in the company and the product.

Not only will it cut bread neatly and almost crumb free, it can be used for cakes, roasts, and will even slice vegetables if you have no other knife handy. It is probably the best all-around knife to have. I have two. One is serrated from the newest set, and the other is non-serrated. This one is from my mother's set that she bought in 1949. I couldn't do without either one of them.

Tell us why:

My mother is obsessed with knives, and I have several brands foisted on me because of her. But once I bought the trimmer, all the old knives (and new ones too!) went into the garbage. I use it for everything in my meat kitchen (I keep kosher), even when I could use another size from my knife set. The first passover after I bought my set I hadn't yet bought a new knife for the holiday; every time i cut up chicken, vegetables, etc, i kicked myself that I hadn't bought another one. Since then I have bought two more: one for the holiday and another for my every day dairy needs. Thank you to my neighbor for introducing me to cutco knives!

To be perfectly honest, this is my newest addition to my "Cutco Family" of knives. I have been married 57 years and got my first pieces maybe two or three years into our marriage. Since them I own most all of the knives, scissors, forks potato peelers and more. I also own other high quality knives and I almost never use them. I cook a lot and enjoy the quality of my knives. They are well used and I can tell you they look new. I sent a couple back to have cleaned up and they come back like new. My daughter has Cutco as does my brother. It is most definitely our Cutlery of choice. Thank you for being there for us.

My wife bought a Cutco pearl-handle pocket knife for me as a gift and I loved it. I always carried it with me no matter where I went. It was a part of me! I was at the Reno airport one day passing through security when I remembered the knife! The security guard took the knife and I have never been able to replace it. Cutco doesn't make that particular knife any longer and I miss it sooooo much! It was the perfect small size to have in my pocket. If anyone out there happens to have one they would like to sell, email me the information and a picture and measurements so I'll be able to tell if it is the correct one! I always check the Cutco magazine when it comes, but this knife has never appeared again! We have other Cutco knives and to be truthful, we couldn't live without any of them! They have replaced all the other knives we use! BUT I MISS MY CUTE, LITTLE POCKET KNIFE!!!! Thanks, Jack

For last minute meal preparation, this knife is wonderful for slicing the tops and bottoms and outer layers of Vidalia onions, handy for slicing baby Bella mushrooms, great for slicing wedges of lettuce, and fine for de-coring and slicing organic tomatoes. A quick rinse between each use, and the knife is at hand and ready for use. The resulting meal of grilled Kobe tenderloin steaks with baked Vidalia onions, sauteed baby Bellas, and an accompanying salad of a wedge of lettuce with Gogonzola cheese crumbles and chopped tomato was a feast!

I actually have five of them in my kitchen.

It's the first knife I reach for... I use it for almost any small job (like cutting fruits or veggies). It's perfect size makes it so handy, it's always sharp, and it's just the right weight. It's the best tomato slicer I have EVER used.

I know that they aren't a knife, but I love them. I especially like them to cut up chicken breasts which can become a challenge for me with a regular knife. I've had them for 5 years now and they work just as well today as they did back then. I love the quality!!!!

My French Chef Knife!

My French Chef Knife!

Tell us why:

I LOVE my French Chef Knife! I use it several times a day for cutting, chopping, mincing and slicing just about everything. I don't even use my garlic press anymore. I just use the flat of my French Chef Knife to "pop" the garlic, then slice or mince as required in the recipe. The handle is very ergonomic and comfortable to use. The blade stays sharp (and I sharpen as needed) and cuts through everything from frozen items to tomatoes. THANK YOU CUTCO!

Cutco - Steak Knife

Cutco - Steak Knife

Tell us why:

Two families went camping one summer weekend. We loaded up and drove 5 hours to the South end of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. A federal park with a beautiful view. That friday night we unpacked in the rain and were ready for a campfire and some beans and weiners. But, we forgot the can opener and only had a Cutco steak knife. And to be honest we had no idea where this knife had come from, so, I started sawing the can and stated to the group, "if this knife opens this can I will buy a whole set of these. Needless to say we are now the proud owners of a total of 26 knives and utensils. We love this product and people actually think we are sales people for this company because of the passion they sense when we talk about the cutco products. Thanks for the opportunity to share our story. Regards, Abel & Lillian Garcia

The trimmer

The trimmer

Tell us why:

I bought the trimmer before I was married about 44 years ago. I recently purchased my fourth trimmer which is still in the box. I made the mistake of self sharpening my first trimmer and all the grooves came off! I didn't realize I could send the knife back to Cutco for them to sharpen at no charge. I purchased two more so I could have one I could send back to sharpen. I use this knife for everything from cutting vegetables and fruit to trimming meat. I don't know why I bought the fourth - like I said it is still in the box! It was on sale and I knew I couldn't live without the trimmer if something happened to the ones I have! I may use if for a gift one day, or keep it "just in case"

i find the cheese knife to be the best knife to slice onions, peppers or dice cause the little teeth on the knife grab hold of what you are slicing and won't slip like a knife on an onion will. wish i had it years ago.

Both work great. The slicing knife is perfect for tomatoes and other vegetables. It doesn't crush the food while slicing it.

The two carving knives

Tell us why:

I have had my two carving knives for about five years. It's sad to say but I haven't been able to part with them long enough to get them sharpened. So i know I'm not getting the full benefit of the knives. Even though they're not as sharp, they are still GREAT knives to have. I even talked my Mom into purchasing a set.

I love the vegetable knife. I have had it for around 4 years now with the Chef Set and use this knife the most often. It continues to perform excellent and is just the right knife for more than just vegetables. Both my husband and I love to cook and have been for the past few years, trying to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables and find that we use this knife everyday. I have several other pieces of your cutlery and enjoy them all but, use this one the most!

I always make sure to use my Cutco trimmer whenever I am facing any lunch or dinner preparation. I cannot imagine a knife that could cut any better than this one. I purchased the trimmer as well as the spatula with the knife edge on one side. This cuts beautifully as well. I have been dazzled about how well balanced they are, how comfortable they are to hold in my hand when cutting and how precisely they cut whatever I expect. I love these knives soo much that I am saving my pennies to be able to buy the table/steak knives. They seem expensive, but I know they are worth the wait. I just couldn't imagine that I would love a product like I love my two cutco knives,

THIS KNIFE IS ABOSLUTELY AMAZING! it cuts thourgh everything, frozen chicken, the bones, slices tomatoes, slices cheese and the list goes on and on. The petite carver makes food preparation fast and easy. The way the knife is contoured, the fit of the handle, is absolute perfection; as if the handle is personally designed to fit your hand. Another wonderful thing, is that Cutco has a knife for every job, and every Cutco knife performs as extraordinarily as the next Cutco knife. Just so you know, I am a former Sales Representative for Cutco. Thank you! Thank you Cutco. Flo Rosenberg

Traditional Cheese Knife

Tell us why:

If you are using your cheese knife for cheese alone, you are missing out on perfect paper thin slices of fruits and vegetables. I prefer thinly sliced tomatoes on my sandwiches and the cheese knife cuts perfect slices every time. Not to mention that you never feel like what you are slicing is slipping or that you don't have good control of the knife. It was the last piece of Cutco I bought for myself but the first piece I buy for everyone else!

Pocket Knife

Pocket Knife

Tell us why:

Approx 4 to 5 years ago a young college student (whom we knew) was selling Cutco knives and asked to come by our house and we acknowledge that he could. He asked if we had ever had Cutco and I replied yes, I have a hunting/fishing knife. He asked to see the knife and would sharpen it and I asked him why, because I never have had to have it sharpened. You see i bought this knife when I was in Vietnam in 1969 (former college student in my unit) was selling these knives left and right. I have used my knife off and on for 39 years and he was totally surprised how sharp it still was. So I bought a pocket knife and our kitchen knives from him.

It's been six years since I first bought my knives. I love all of them equally as much but each one is loved for a specific purpose. My spreader specifically is loved because being a Mom of two small children it gets it's use daily!. I go from spreading condiments to cutting the sandwiches all with the same knife. I also cut up fruit and finger veggies. it's great. I totally recommend all Moms get this knife.

They are perfect for cutting anything, beautiful on the table and I have never held a knife that fits more comfortably in my hand!
