I bought my Cutco knifes in the 1980's and I cant go without my chefs knife. Not only that one but all my Cutco has gone on camping trips, cottages and any other vacation we have gone on that I have had to cook.... I am lost without them where ever I go... I have been known to bring them to friends and familys houses to help them cook for holidays and partys.... A couple of weeks ago my coworkers and I were swapping stories about our Cutco.. And we all had a laugh because we all would be lost without our Cutco..And thats just some of my stories about CUTCO.......

Because of the short blade it is so handy. I don't think you make it any more. I bought my set in 1952 and they are still beautiful except for my favorite paring knife. it fell into the garbage disposal. I still use it but the handle is considerably shorter! They are the greatest knives ever.

My carving knife, hands down!
My carving knife, hands down!
Tell us why:
When you live in the South, we do alot of cooking and eat alot of meat in our dishes. Think about it, how many times have you had a beautiful dinner, you're ready to carve and someone brings out a Butcher knife to carve with...eeekkkk! I don't have that problem, I get my beautiful Cutco knife, hand it to the carver and it practically carves the meat for you. It doesn't tear and rag the meat leaving you with a mess on your serving platter instead of beautiful slices of carved meat. I dare you to just try it...you'll be pleasantly surprised and you WILL come back to buy more knives. As we, the Cutco owners know, they are very addicting once you have used one! The Spreader
The Spreader
Tell us why:
All summer long I treat my family and friends to homemade summer fruit pies. Nothing cuts and serves a pie better than the Spreader I bought from Cutco many years ago. Every year somebody's college aged child was selling Cutco--although mine never did! I would always allow the sales person to come to our home and give me his sales presentation yes, it was always a boy. Each time I had braced myself that I wouldn't purchase another knife from this child---but as you may have guessed, of course I did. I've become kind of famous in the wedding circle that we are in presently for buying The Wedding Knife and Server as a gift for the bride & groom with their names and wedding date engraved. What a wonderful gift! Just ordered another knife today--now I'm using the emails since we've run out of college aged kids. Thanks!

I have been using CUTCO since 2003. The knife set is awesome! It is especially nice during gardening season for chopping an slicing all those veggies. It is also great in hunting season. I can butcher and freeze the vinison and not have to pay the meat locker for processing!
With CUTCO in my kitchen, there is always the perfect knife for the job to be done and then there are the "favorite" knifes that I know can handle any job!

I was a younger gal back in 1979, when a young man stopped me on Main Street in Richmond, Virginia and offered to send me a free gift from Cutco. I gave him my name and address and he contacted me by phone for a sales demonstration of Cutco. Both my roommate and I were blown away by his sales savy and the product and we both purchased a 5-piece set for something like $125 back then. I have never regretted my purchase, and have since then purchased several other items for my kitchen. My son is recently engaged and for Christmas this year they asked for their own set of Cutco. I recommend Cutco to everyone who cooks (and those who don't). The salesman's name? Ted Harding.

Tell us why.
I have been salmon fishing for sixty two years using many filet knives over the years. My son, Jim was selling CUTCO knives and he gave me the Cutco fishing filet knife for Christmas about twelve years ago. Since then I have fileted over 1,000 salmon with the greatest of ease with the longest lasting sharpest knife I have ever owned. The adjustable length of the knife is a great feature because it can be set at a longer or shorter length depending on the size of the salmon. I have recommended this knife to many of my fishing friends. Don't go fishing without it.

As sole caregiver for two Parkinsonian family members, I shop store brands for canned good, leaving money for organic produce. I also buy paper products and cereal in bulk. I cook more, saving for one dine-out meal per week. Thank you for quality knife sets. I use store coupons when possible, but do not use coupon mailers as often are for less healthy products my family on special diets. I buy lean cuts of meat and tenderize them at home. We buy fresh seafood when on sale, and I fillet andor cut into steaks. I use a variety of fresh herbs to provide different tastes to frequently used recipes I grow seasonal vegetables and herbs in my garden , and visit the farmer's market at other times. We buy powdered skim milk and make up 12 gallon at a time. We do not sacrifice taste as I review cookbooks and on-line recipes. I use whole wheat flour, stone-ground meal to make home-make bread and cakes.

My mother bought her set of Cutco knives...
My mother bought her set of Cutco knives before I was born, over 42 years ago. They have always been reliable knives and she has never had to sharpen them. When I was recently approached by a young college-bound family friend who was "selling knives" to earn money for college, I never realized I'd be seeing those knives again! I had to have a set of my own.
I have always enjoyed cooking, but with my Cutco knives, not only is the work done quickly, but I have no fear of hurting myself on a dull knife. And my mother will be excited to learn about their repair policy, her French Chef knife has had a chip in the blade for years.
Tell us about an interesting reaction you received when giving a gift of CUTCO?

I live in the South and we cook for every occasion, whether there is a football game on TV or a parade at the corner. In fact, we don't need an occasion to cook, it's just what we do in the South! When you want to give a young couple something that will last for a lifetime, give them their first Paring Knife. As we all know, all Southern dishes start with the cutting of the seasonings, so what better present to give a new bride! She'll love her new life in the kitchen and it will all start with that Paring Knife! From then on, you can make your own tradition of "A Cutco A Year" for her presents throughout her life as a wife and consequently a Mom! She will love her lifetime of Cutco gifts..that's a promise!

My siblings and I have several children. When each child marries, we as an uncle and aunt group, give them a big gift instead of several little gifts. We give them a choice of what they get within a certain price range. They have selected a set of cookware, a set of china, a mattress, and a chest of drawers, but the majority have selected a "Galley set of Cutco knives". Everyone that has received them have really enjoyed the knives. One niece asked my son what she should get and he said, "the knives, the knives"! We even gave my brother a set when he married at 60 years of age! He was trilled with them. So, if you are looking for a gift from several people, Cutco knives make an excellent gift!

My husband thinks this is the ultimate knife to carry on a hunting trip. He hunts deer and elk, and has given away many of these knives to friends as a "thank-you" for a wonderful trip. Our children recieved these knives as teenagers, and it was like a rite of passage in the hunters camp, to be old and competent enough to have your own knife. Apparently it is quite effective as, they are still beloved by all, and my husband sends in a package of them every year to be sharpened. This year, two of the knives had worn so, that we guess they could not be sharpened. Cutco sent him two new knives to replace them. The quality of knife and the quality of service have never changed.

My parents got a set of Cutco knives and utensils for their wedding in 1961. They are still using them. Everyone in our family learned to cook while wrapping our hands around those handles. When I got married, Mom and Dad began to fill out a set for me. However, after 20 years, I was divorced and had to leave my Cutcos behind. My mother was very upset about that, and there was a new entire set waiting in my mail a week later. Now, I am about to remarry a Cutco girl. When she divorced, her husband actually had it written into their decree that he would get the knives even insisting that she return the Cutco scissors that she had. I gave her a pearl trimmer last year, and, this Christmas it's a pearl Petite Chef my two favorites. Sometime next year we will join our knives together in matrimony, and live happily ever after.

Over 40 years ago, when we were struggling my husband told me about Cutco knives and we had a demonstartion. We were sold and I believe that we bought our first knife set on payments. Then we bought the steak knives. Over the years we have added a knife here and there. What I like the most is their durability and your committment to service. Two of our married children have their own sets of knives as well as my best friend. I have given them as gifts and they are always so well received. Plus there is never a duplicate. Your service over the years has been outstanding. You are always highly recommended and your products are worth every cent we have paid.

My wife, mother-in-law, and I just came back from Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. We went to the Cutco display and come to find out, my mother-in-law still owns a set of Cutco knives that she bought in 1949 and still uses daily. She was told by the woman at the display that that was the first year the company sold knives. She is going to send them in for sharpening and or repair. How many original owners of a 1949 set of Cutco knives are there? She should be a spokesperson for the company.

Why?
WhenI got my first cutco knives, I used a knife like a kindergartener uses fat crayons. This was simply disgraceful. I had to bring my skills up to par with such fine tools. I found a lot of tutorials online, and watched all the chefs on TV very carefully to see what they do with knives. Now I can slice and dice with the best of them! Thanks Cutco. The only product to ever inspire me to educate myself. =-)

Butcher Knife
Butcher Knife
Why?
I do a bit of deer hunting. I also process my own meat and friends deer too. I purchased the butcher knife and the long carving knife to replace some Soliengen steel knives I inherited. Was told of the forever guarantee. Well that is good to pass own to my son. The knives are so sharp that I did not have to touch them to a steel until I had completely butchered five carcasses. At that time they were cutting fine still. (I am fanatical about a sharp knife.) One friend stopped to help and I warned him three times "these knives WILL cut you." And he is now a believer. Only three stitches. He said he was buying a set.

Fifty or so years ago, my husband, then a seminary student, was a sales representative for Cutco. We were able to buy a Cutco spreader--they were $15 then--and liked it so much we sent one to each of our family as Christmas gifts, and they became favorites of each person receiving one. We have since purchased a trimmer and a paring knife. About a year ago, I sent the three knives in to Cutco for sharpening. To my amazed surprise, the company sent a totally new spreader! I have only the very best things to say about Cutco and its products.

Since I was a kid, my mom's Cutco knifes were her pride and joy. We were not allow to use "Mom's" knifes when we were young but as we got older, she did let us use the "all purpose" knive and when we had steaks on Sunday, we would all use the Cutco Steak knives. Now that I am 51, I still have that original set of 5 knives that she always kept it the drawer tray, the original tray that came with the set and the original set of Steak Knives still in the felt lined cherry wood box,
I have added to our collection Mom's and now mine , with the addition of the Chef's knive and about 6 or 7 misc. sized knives.
I just ordered the outdoor tool set and bag and no other tools come close to the quality of these tools. I'm sure that I will have these a long time. As long as the first set that my mother started with. Let's see, that would be almost 50 years ago now.

My husband and I have been married 52 years. One evening 52 years ago a young man came to our front door and asked if he could show us some great knives. We invited him in and the knives he showed us were Cutco Knives.
We bought a set of steak knives and a trimmer knife. At the time we really could not afford steak but they worked extremely well on the tough venison my father had given us.
Fifty one years later I sent them back to the Cutco factory to be sharpened. After 51 years they needed sharpening. The factory didn't sharpen them instead they sent us a new set of kitchen knives formerly steak knives and a new trimming knife.
The trimming knife is my favorite knife and I use it almost everyday. I love my Cutco Knives.

My favorite feature of my Cutco is firstly the handle. No matter what shape your hand is, whether long or short, big or small, the knife always feels like it was custom made especially to fit your hand! My second is that I have the ability to get my knives personalized. What a wonderful concept! Thirdly, I love how they work when utilized properly meaning using the right knife for the right job! It's such a pleasure to be in the kitchen with outstanding knives! Lastly but certainly not to be overlooked is the quality of the product and the lifetime guarantee! I am a testimonial that they do live up to their guarantee! Cydney, New Orleans, LA
